Healthy solar heat at the push of a button

Infrared deep heat

Infrared deep heat reflects the regenerative powers of the sun, which is the strongest infrared source of all! The positive effects of infrared heat energy have been recognized and used since ancient times.

Even recognized federal authorities, such as the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection, confirm that the use of infrared heat is useful in many areas. This is because it has various positive properties.

Doctors such as Dr. Aaron M. Flickstein also speak positively about this form of therapy, referring among other things to the positive effects of sweating. Similar to the sun, the VITORI® crystal mat generates infrared radiant heat and thus produces warmth and relaxation effects deep into the tissue, but without UV radiation.

How does infrared deep heat affect the human body?

When infrared rays, such as those from the sun, hit our tissue, the molecules are set into vibration. This generates heat at the corresponding points, which causes the temperature to rise.¹

The enormous advantage of infrared heat, in contrast to other heat-generating methods, is that it is able to heat objects and bodies directly instead of heating the surrounding air. We can observe this phenomenon every time clouds suddenly appear on an otherwise sunny day. Although the ambient temperature does not drop, it feels colder for a moment as the clouds shield us from the direct heat of the infrared heat.

Commercially available saunas or heating blankets, for example, achieve their effect through the circulation of heated air and the direct effect of the hot air, which only reaches the outer layer of skin. According to Dr. Flickstein, with an infrared heating system such as the one used in VITORI® products, "approx. 80% of the energy used heats the body directly and only 20% of the radiant heat heats the air".

This is not only the background to the comparatively very low energy consumption, but also one of the reasons why infrared heat achieves such an extraordinary heating effect.²
